Community Connections

Community-led Coffee, Chat, Craft, and Creativity in our rural West Northumberland.

Community Connections grew out of our concern for people who are lonely or isolated who would benefit from a cuppa and chat with others, our love of having a brew and blether together, our research that doing something creative is good for all of us, and the hope to better support everyone’s Wellbeing – while having fun.

From small beginnings with Community Cuppa Kielder and CARE for a Cuppa Bellingham, it has grown into a collaboration of amazing local people all over the West who provide a welcoming space for everyone in their community to meet, chat, find support, friends, information &/or enjoy taking part in creative activities, over a cuppa!

As more community leaders got involved we formed a network around a longstanding community meeting who welcomed everyone in, and with the support of Marie, Caroline, Helen, Jen and Rev Sarah we adopted their name – Community Connections – and produced our first community leaflet mid-’26.

This community resource is for Residents, GP practices, Charities, Visitors, Families and Friends. There is something happening every day of the week for you to enjoy, join in, make friends, share skills, be Creative, and find support. Do come along and join us: click here to see the leaflet.
